Infrastructure Engineer – BESS

We are looking for a new full-time team member to join our Infrastructure Engineer BESS team at our Dresden office as soon as possible.
This is what your day-to-day work with us will look like
- You will manage and further develop our container platform (Kubernetes/Rancher).
- You will build and maintain our deployment pipelines according to GitOps principles (ArgoCD) and ensure reproducible, secure releases.
- You will handle persistent storage solutions (Longhorn) and ensure the stability of our systems in production.
- You will implement and maintain monitoring and logging for system metrics and centralized log collection (Prometheus, Grafana).
- You will work on hardening and securing our infrastructure—an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the requirements of regulated environments.
- You will support the development team with infrastructure questions and troubleshooting.
What you bring to the table
You have experience in several of the following areas—and are eager to learn the others:
- Operating Linux systems and containerized environments
- Container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Rancher, OpenShift)
- Network engineering (routing, switching, firewalls)
- CI/CD and GitOps (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux, GitHub Actions)
- Monitoring and logging (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki)
We also expect:
- An understanding of IT security and an interest in regulated environments
- The ability to work independently and in a structured manner
- Very good German or English language skills (minimum B2 level)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with compliance requirements (NIS2, KRITIS, ISO 27001, or similar)
- Knowledge of storage solutions for Kubernetes (Longhorn, Ceph, Rook)
- Scripting experience (Bash, Python, Go)
- Background in OT environments or industrial infrastructure
