Summary
Following our successful collaboration in Euskirchen, Wald-Michelbach and Weichenried in 2023, we are now once again supporting ABO Energy in the development of an innovation project.
In Schönfeld (Main-Tauber district) in Baden-Württemberg, ABO Energy is planning to combine a ground-mounted PV plant with a rated output of 7.3 megawatts and a large-scale battery storage system. The battery system has a power output of 2.7 megawatts and a capacity of 10 megawatt-hours. The electricity generated by the PV plant can thus be temporarily stored as required and fed into the grid at a later date. ABO Energy was awarded the contract for the project back in autumn 2024 following a call for proposals for innovative projects issued by the Federal Network Agency.
Unlike in previous projects with ABO Energy, lithium iron phosphate batteries are being used for the first time in Schönfeld. “We are delighted that we can once again rely on the high level of technical expertise offered by TRICERA energy,” said Jörg Wieser, Head of Technical Procurement.
