Internship starting in February 2027 (m/f/d)

To strengthen our team at our Dresden location, we are looking to fill a full-time internship position in mechanical engineering in product development starting in February 2027.

This is what your day-to-day work with us will look like

In your day-to-day work, you will support our team in technical development and project implementation. This includes in particular:

  • Design & technical development: 3D design of components, assemblies, and switch assemblies, including drawing derivation and creation of mechanical 2D layouts and foundation calculations.
  • Test & test bench support: Participation in the design of tests, test benches, and technical solutions.
  • Documentation & production preparation: Creation of parts lists, assembly instructions, and other technical documentation, as well as preparatory work for production.
  • Material & component management: Selection, dimensioning, and procurement of project-specific components (e.g., air conditioning systems) in coordination with purchasing, warehousing, and logistics, as well as obtaining and evaluating quotes.
  • Project support in the field of battery storage systems: Collaboration in the planning of large battery storage projects, including on-site assignments in implementation and cable laying in coordination with the electrical engineering team.

What you bring to the table

  • You are studying or have completed training in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, product design, air conditioning technology, or a related technical field.
  • You work independently, in a structured manner, and have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • You are proficient in CAD programs – ideally Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD Mechanical – and ideally have some experience in creating manufacturing drawings (e.g., for sheet metal or welded assemblies).
  • You have very good German skills (at least B2) and good English skills (at least B1) in both written and spoken language.
  • Very good written and spoken German (at least B2) and good to business fluent English (at least B1).
  • Optional: Class B driver’s license.
