Just in time for its 5th anniversary, TRICERA has surpassed half a gigawatt-hour of contracted capacity
Dresden, May 21, 2026
TRICERA energy GmbH, an EPC contractor and system integrator for utility-scale battery storage projects, has reached an important milestone just in time for its 5th anniversary: with 500 MWh of contracted capacity, the company is reinforcing its growth targets and, shortly before “The smarter E” trade fair in Munich, is drawing a positive interim conclusion regarding its own development.
Lars Fallant, COO of TRICERA energy, comments: “Over the past five years, TRICERA has fully established itself in the market as an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) company and has been able to win, implement, and complete many projects. We are now one of the largest EPC providers for battery storage systems and have established a unique selling point in engineering across Germany. The positive response from the automotive industry, municipal utilities, and investors gives us confidence for our future path. The fact that our development has now culminated in reaching this milestone fills us with pride and joy for the work we have accomplished.”
Dr. Tim Müller, CTO of TRICERA energy, adds: “Since our founding, our mission has been – and remains – to actively shape the energy transition. In recent years, we have steadily expanded our wealth of knowledge and experience and, despite a challenging market environment, have established ourselves as one of the largest plant builders for battery storage systems in Germany. Our overarching goal is and remains to stabilize the power grids and utilize capacity more flexibly by balancing out fluctuations in generation through the construction and deployment of battery storage systems.”
While TRICERA initially made a name for itself primarily through the integration of automotive-based battery modules into storage systems, the company is now generally regarded as a competent partner for all solutions related to electricity storage in battery storage systems. The company’s versatility and depth of value creation are impressive: from standard and automotive-based systems integrated into buildings or containers to large-scale self-consumption solutions—the Dresden-based company uses excellent engineering to find the right solution for every challenge, making it a leader in technical innovation.
There is also a strong focus on regional value creation. Many system components, such as the inverters, originate from the EU; for automotive-based systems, containers and batteries are also sourced and manufactured in Europe. In this way, TRICERA actively strengthens German and European value creation. TRICERA is regarded here as one of the largest companies with a broad knowledge base, which will become increasingly relevant again in the coming years, especially in volatile global situations.
The success of the company’s philosophy is also reflected in its overall performance. Since February 2025 alone, the company has signed a total of 13 major projects (350 MWh, 145 MW) with a total volume of €61 million. In addition, there are over 15 O&M contracts, the sale of fully developed project rights, and extensive engineering contracts.
This provides a solid foundation on which to build and look positively toward the future.
