Our strategy for procuring the batteries for the various TRICERA storage solutions is unique. In principle, we can use any battery type that is suitable for use in stationary battery storage systems. This includes battery modules and battery packs.

In addition to batteries specifically manufactured for stationary systems, we also use batteries from recycling firms and from the automotive sector. Our storage systems are built from first as well as second life batteries – an innovative approach that helps to conserve resources and with this the environment.

Regardless of their type, TRICERA energy thoroughly analyses, categorizes and classifies every battery before installing it in suitable storage systems in line with its specifications. We work in close collaboration with our partners in all of this.

Original equipment manufacturers (OEM)

TRICERA energy works with numerous reputable original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) operating in the automotive sector. They supply us with first and second life batteries directly from their production facilities. TRICERA energy is able to process both battery modules and complete battery packs.

We develop strategies for the re-use of batteries as well as their disposal. We also develop other recycling strategies such as active storage solutions for companies in the electromobility sector.

Battery recycling companies

An increasing number of lithium-ion batteries are being used in the global e-mobility sector. More and more of these batteries are sent on to recycling firms, but not all are defective. TRICERA energy procures functioning batteries from recycling firms and installs them in stationary battery storage systems – avoiding electronic waste and protecting the environment at the same time.

TRICERA energy GmbH is the first company in the battery storage sector to become a member of the Association for the Promotion of Renewable Energy in Saxony (VEE Sachsen e.V.). The VEE is committed to transforming the energy system in Saxony. In the past, VEE members were given a tour of Saxony’s largest battery storage facility at JT energy in Freiberg.
