Systems Engineer – BESS

We are looking for a new full-time team member in the Systems Engineer BESS department at our Dresden location to start as soon as possible.
This is what your day-to-day work with us will look like
- Analysis of customer requirements: You evaluate requests for proposals and project requirements, assess them against our system capabilities, and work with the team to develop viable solutions.
- Definition and optimization of control algorithms for EZA controllers and energy management systems.
- Responsibility for interfaces: You design and maintain interfaces as well as data point lists for direct marketers, grid operators, and other external partners.
- Further development of system requirements: You continuously maintain and further develop our requirements – in close coordination with customers and internal system architects.
- Quality assurance & testing: You will create test plans and work closely with project management to ensure system quality.
What you bring to the table
- Several years of experience in a technical field, such as energy engineering, control engineering, software development, or systems engineering. It is important to us that you have experience with technical requirements, whether as a creator, implementer, or reviewer.
- Quick grasp of complex technical concepts and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new domains.
- Thorough, clear documentation
- Proficiency with Git and willingness to work in a development-oriented environment (documentation-as-code, version control, code reviews)
- Strong communication skills: You actively seek clarification rather than waiting for ready-made inputs
- Very good German or English language skills (min. B2)
- A plus
- Experience with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go)
- Knowledge of energy technology, grid connection regulations (VDE-AR-N), or battery storage systems
- Experience with protocols such as Modbus, IEC 60870-5-104, or OPC UA
