Systems Engineer – Embedded Systems

We are looking for a new full-time team member in the field of software with a focus on embedded systems at our location in Dresden to start as soon as possible.

This is what your day-to-day work with us will look like

• You will increasingly take on the coordination of our embedded system development – from requirements clarification to test acceptance.
• You will become the technical contact person for suppliers and will conduct binding consultations.
• You will develop software and hardware in the embedded field yourself – especially for battery monitoring and management.
• You will participate in design reviews for hardware and software and increasingly carry these out independently.
• You will analyze system requirements, identify technical risks, and develop solution concepts.
• You will coordinate testing activities and assist with error analysis and root cause analysis.

What you bring to the table

• Several years of experience in the development of embedded systems – hardware, software, or both
• Confident use of typical embedded tools (Git, CMake, Python, C)
• Knowledge of reading circuit diagrams and understanding of hardware development processes
• Analytical thinking and structured approach to complex systems
• Good German and English skills (at least B1)
• Desirable:
  • Experience with battery management systems, cell monitoring ICs, or analog front ends
  • Knowledge of protocols such as CAN/CANopen, ISO-SPI, MQTT, or REST-API
  • Experience with KiCad or comparable EDA tools
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD processes
