TRICERA energy has become a member of VEE Sachsen e.V.
Dresden, January 22, 2026
TRICERA energy GmbH is the newest member of the Association for the Promotion of Renewable Energy in Saxony (VEE Sachsen e.V.). It is the first company in the battery storage sector to join VEE in supporting the transformation of Saxony’s energy system.
Battery storage systems are an essential component on the path to 100% renewable energy: They shift stored electricity from wind and solar power to hours when renewable production is lower—thereby relieving the strain on grids and consumers. The costs of grid expansion can also be reduced through such large-scale battery storage systems. With its expertise, TRICERA energy GmbH is an ideal addition to the knowledge network within VEE Sachsen. Both parties look forward to further deepening their collaboration following the completion of the membership process.
The TRICERA team, based in Freiberg and Dresden, specializes in the development, construction, and operation of large-scale battery storage systems and has already deployed 280 megawatt-hours of energy capacity and 152 megawatts of power. The team of 80 employees is growing rapidly and is seeking to expand its ranks even amid the current challenging economic climate. Managing Director Lars Fallant comments: “Despite the thoroughly challenging market environment, we have been able to secure many new projects in recent months. To better meet the sharply increased demand, we are currently seeking new employees in the fields of electrical engineering, electrical planning, sales & project design, IT system administration, IT security, financial accounting, project management, network technology, and strategic procurement. We welcome every skilled professional who finds their way to us.”
In the past, the paths of both parties have crossed frequently, most recently last November during a jointly organized excursion to Saxony’s largest battery storage facility, built by TRICERA. The large-scale storage facility near Freiberg, with a capacity of 23 MWh and 25 MW of power, is owned by JT Energy GmbH. The facility was acquired in 2019 by JT, a joint venture between Jungheinrich and battery module manufacturer TRIATHLON, and repurposed for a new use. In this memorable setting, there was an in-depth discussion about the past and future of renewables, along with many thought-provoking questions from the engaged audience.
Falk Zeuner, President of VEE Sachsen e.V., says: “Battery storage systems are among the next major steps in the development of the energy transition. TRICERA energy GmbH’s membership offers the opportunity to ensure that the needs and perspectives of the battery storage sector are taken into account even more strongly in the future when formulating recommendations and policy demands within VEE Sachsen e.V. We look forward to the expertise, the exchange, and the collaboration!”
