{"id":5127,"date":"2026-09-05T13:09:37","date_gmt":"2026-09-05T11:09:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tricera.energy\/?p=5127"},"modified":"2026-10-02T15:41:27","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T13:41:27","slug":"field-service-technician-network-engineering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tricera.energy\/en\/field-service-technician-network-engineering\/","title":{"rendered":"Field Service Technician &#8211; Network Engineering"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><strong>Help us shape the energy supply of the future!<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<p>We are looking for a full-time or part-time <strong>Field Service Technician<\/strong>\u00a0to join our team in Dresden as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<h3><b>This is what your day-to-day work with us will look like<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Configure, install and commission<\/strong> network components (e.g. routers, switches and firewalls) directly at our energy storage facilities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Connect and configure network devices and endpoints<\/strong>, including IP addressing, routing and access control settings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Implement VLAN structures<\/strong> to ensure secure network segmentation in accordance with the configured network components.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Commission and integrate critical infrastructure (KRITIS) compliant systems<\/strong>, taking redundancy and access protection requirements into account.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Analyze faults, troubleshoot issues and optimize performance<\/strong> of existing network infrastructures during field service assignments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Conduct functional testing<\/strong> and acceptance procedures following installation and configuration activities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Create and maintain technical documentation<\/strong> covering configurations, connections and system status.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Collaborate closely<\/strong> with IT security, operations and project teams to ensure seamless on-site network integration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>What you bring to the table<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Completed vocational training or equivalent qualification<\/strong> in network engineering, communications technology, IT systems electronics, or a related field.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Strong knowledge of networking technologies<\/strong>, particularly TCP\/IP, VLANs, routing and firewalls, combined with a solid understanding of network infrastructures.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Experience in the configuration, commissioning, operation and troubleshooting<\/strong> of IT network infrastructures.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hands-on technical skills<\/strong> and a passion for practical on-site work at our energy storage facilities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Basic Linux knowledge<\/strong>, particularly in shell scripting.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Willingness to travel extensively<\/strong> for field assignments and on-site work (approximately 40% office-based and 60% on-site activities).<\/li>\n<li>A valid <strong>Class B driver&#8217;s license<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Fluent <strong>German and English language skills<\/strong> (minimum B2 level).<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a structured, independent way of working.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>We offer you<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Flexible working hours<\/strong> with a flexitime arrangement.<\/li>\n<li><strong>30 days of annual leave<\/strong> for full-time employees.<\/li>\n<li>The opportunity for <strong>mobile working<\/strong> up to 2-3 days per week.<\/li>\n<li>An attractive <strong>company pension scheme<\/strong>.
