The storage system has a capacity of 2.7 megawatts and a storage capacity of 10 megawatt-hours. The electricity generated by the PV plant can thus be temporarily stored as needed and fed into the grid at a later time. ABO Energy was awarded the contract for the project back in the fall of 2024 through the Federal Network Agency\u2019s innovation tender.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike in previous projects with ABO Energy, lithium iron phosphate batteries will be used for the first time in Sch\u00f6nfeld. \u201cWe are pleased that we can once again count on the high level of technical expertise from TRICERA energy,\u201d said J\u00f6rg Wieser, Head of Technical Procurement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very pleased to be able to implement another project with ABO Energy and thank them for the trust they have placed in us.
