Ulm \/ Neu-Ulm, December 18, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

TRICERA energy, the general contractor (EPC) and system integrator for large-scale battery storage systems, and Stadtwerke Ulm\/Neu-Ulm (SWU), the municipal utility and mobility service provider for the cities of Ulm and Neu-Ulm, have signed a contract to construct a modern and high-performance large-scale battery storage facility.<\/p>\n

TRICERA energy\u2019s project development team is responsible for the initial steps in preparing and submitting the building permit application for the battery storage system. In addition, the company will act as the EPC for the planning, manufacturing, delivery, construction, and commissioning of the turnkey, functional large-scale battery storage facility. The facility, with a usable capacity of 21 MWh and an output of 10 MW, is intended to provide primary and secondary control power and also participate in energy trading.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the battery storage system, we are creating additional flexibility for our energy portfolio. We can store renewable energy in a targeted manner and use it as needed. This is particularly true when it comes to energy trading. In doing so, we are strengthening the economic use of photovoltaic power and making an important contribution to a more sustainable energy supply for citizens,\u201d said Klaus Eder, Managing Director of SWU.<\/p>\n

Tim M\u00fcller, Managing Director of TRICERA energy, adds: \u201cWe are very pleased to be able to implement this innovative project together with SWU. The battery storage project with Stadtwerke Ulm\/Neu-Ulm demonstrates once again how well Stadtwerke and TRICERA complement each other. Municipal utilities play a significant role in the success of the energy transition. It is all the more gratifying to see how actively the topic is being driven forward there.\u201d<\/p>\n

The project in Ulm fits seamlessly into TRICERA energy\u2019s existing projects with the Trianel municipal utility association as well as the municipal utilities in Schneeberg and Karlsruhe.<\/p>\n
