The town of Premnitz describes itself as a \u2018town full of energy\u2019 \u2013 this project continues that tradition. For EEW, this marks a milestone on the path towards greater flexibility and sustainability in the energy market.<\/p>\n<p>The battery storage system serves multiple purposes: it stabilises the electricity grid by absorbing or releasing electricity at short notice. It also participates in electricity trading. This means that EEW can store surplus electricity when there is a lot of green energy on the grid and then make it available when demand is high.
