The facility with a usable capacity of 24 MWh and an output of 12 MW will be used for primary and secondary control power and will also participate in energy trading.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe energy transition will succeed &#8211; we at Stadtwerke Karlsruhe are deeply convinced of this. The battery storage system will make a very important contribution here on site. By building the battery storage facility in Karlsruhe, we are showing citizens that we take sustainability and the energy transition seriously and are actively implementing them. I am looking forward to the realization of the project,\u201d says Michael Homann, Chairman of the Management Board of Stadtwerke Karlsruhe.<\/p>\n<p>The storage system is another building block for a stable energy supply in the region in an increasingly sustainable energy system.
